Initial Thoughts:

When I first saw the Plasencia Alma Fuerte Generacion V at my local cigar shop, I thought to myself, “Oh, now that looks cool!”

The Alma Fuerte is a big cigar with an odd shape that comes in a very unique box. The pyramid shape has an almost pigtail foot that widens into a 58 ring gauge tip. The rustic looking wrapper has several colors and is quite unique looking. After lighting the cigar, which lit easily, I immediately noticed rich flavors that, while blended well, still had distinct taste profiles.

Final Thoughts:

After enjoying the Plasencia Alma Fuerte Generacion V, I couldn’t help but admire the build quality of this cigar. There were no bad spots, the smooth draw never got tight, and the burn was practically perfect through the entire smoke. The flavors were rich and smooth, though not creamy like other Nicaraguan cigars I’ve smoked.

Because this cigar hit all of the right marks for construction, I happily give the Alma Fuerte a CigarScore of 5.
